What is the KonMari Method™?
The KonMari Method™ is the tidying process developed by Marie Kondo. Marie is the bestselling author of The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up and the star of the Netflix TV show Tidying Up with Marie Kondo. She describes her process as “a simple but effective tidying method” that helps you get rid of clutter once and for all.
Rather than spending your time trying to figure out what to discard, you’re focused on choosing to keep only the items in your home that spark joy!
Imagine living in a space surrounded only by the things you love the most.
FAQs

That’s not the right question. The right question is, have you done it?
If you’ve read all of Marie Kondo’s books and watched her Netflix series, but a couple of months (or three years) later you’re still feeling stuck, then maybe you need some help.
There’s no shame in that. You’ve lived in your home for several years, been working 60+ hour workweeks, and accumulated a bunch of stuff.
It can be overwhelming figuring out where to start.
Maybe you just need someone to lend a hand, to share a simple step-by-step process, to hold you accountable, and to help you sort through all your stuff.
-
There is absolutely no judgment from me about your love of socks or your unpacked boxes (from when you moved in 5 years ago) or your packed pantry you can’t pull anything out of without the shelving coming down.
Whatever kind of clutter you’ve got going on, I’ve seen it before (and had some of my own).
-
I’ve seen those memes that claim Marie Kondo says you should only have 30 books.
Nonsense.
The KonMari Method™ is about keeping only what sparks joy and letting the rest go.
But you’ll get to decide what stays and what goes, not me.

We’re going to follow Marie Kondo’s 6 Basic Rules of Tidying.
Rule 1: Commit Yourself to Tidying Up.
Rule 2: Imagine Your Ideal Lifestyle.
Rule 3: Finish Discarding First.
Rule 4: Tidy by Category, Not by Location.
Rule 5: Follow the Right Order.
Rule 6: Ask Yourself If It Sparks Joy.
Rules for tidying? I get it might sound a bit rigid. But if you’re feeling overwhelmed, it can actually be a relief to have some structure. Plus, following these rules will help you declutter and organize your home quickly and efficiently.

You have to be willing to commit the time and energy. And it can be difficult to let some things go. Looking at you, sentimental items!
But that’s why we’re following a process. I promise it’ll get easier and you’ll get faster at decluttering as we go.
Plus, you’ll have way more fun with me helping you declutter than suffering through it on your own, only to give up because the piles feel insurmountable.

No, I’m going to do it with you. You and I will work together to tidy your home. If I come in and do it for you, you’re likely going to end up with a messy home again down the road. And nobody wants that.
The beauty of Marie Kondo’s method is that once you learn it, you will never have to deal with clutter again.
Words from Happy Clients
“My fiancé and I are moving into a new home soon. I wanted to figure out what I wanted to bring with me. I was concerned about whether Monica was going to make me get rid of stuff and that I wouldn't have anything left. Now having gone through the process, I feel like I have everything that I want. This would be good for anyone going through any kind of transition phase--starting a new job, ending a relationship, beginning a relationship, moving, closing or opening a new season of life.”
